Last month I wrote about my visit with San Diego Union-Tribune cartoonist, Steve Breen. On Friday, Steve announced his departure from the newspaper. I haven't had the chance to connect with him yet, but a good source told me he took a buyout soon after the paper was bought by vulture-capitalist hedge fund, Alden Global Capital.
