Congress has for decades now refused to deal with the growing crisis at our southern border. Both the George W. Bush and Barack Obama administrations have attempted to tackle comprehensive immigration reform. But congressional Republicans have thwarted these efforts. They don't want the system to be improved because the modern Republican Party doesn't solve problems. They demagogue problems. And voters keep rewarding them for it.

The mayor of Denver just yesterday chastised Congress and the federal government for not doing their respective jobs regarding the immigration crisis at our southern border. Denver is fast running out of resources to the deal with the recent influx of immigrants in the last few weeks. We are at the breaking point. The GOP is too busy running their mouths to do anything to help cities impacted by this crisis.
Nailed it again Nick! True about Congress, but 1/2 of US citizens don’t participate to help push change. The ballot box is democracy’s most powerful weapon.
