He died of Lewy body dementia at a retirement community in Lexington, Massachusetts. I always appreciated listening to David Gergen’s analysis when he appeared as a cable news commentator. I usually tune out most of the talking heads, but Gergen always made me stop and listen. He was a refreshing contrast to the usual bluster and posturing on TV.
