Electoral Harbinger
Tuesday's defeat of Issue 1 in Ohio, widely seen as a proxy vote on abortion, is yet another warning to the Republican Party on their extremist abortion views. The American people have consistently demonstrated support for some reasonable limits on abortion access. But the anti-choice in the Republican party will not stop until all abortion access is outlawed in the "land of the free.”
I hope they keep the rhetoric going. It seems to be energizing young people to get involved to vote
them out in 2024. Same with the fascist BS they espouse. Democracy is on the ballot!

I still smell the blood of my friend bleeding from a botched knitting-needle self-abortion. She collapsed on my high-school dorm room floor at 3AM in the 1950s. She just barely didn't die. We could not tell anyone. I buried the blood-soaked towels in the ravine. They will just end safe abortions. I know. I've been there. I held her hand.
