There are few sights more chilling than the funeral procession of truth itself—its pallbearers carrying not caskets, but the silenced voices of those who dared to bear witness. On Sunday night in Gaza, the Israeli military turned a tent full of reporters into a funeral home, killing five journalists in an airstrike. Among them was Anas al-Sharif, one of Gaza’s most recognizable journalists, whose work for Al Jazeera chronicled the war’s atrocities with unflinching clarity.
