The Republican Party isn’t interested in meaningfully addressing immigration. They’ve been benefitting at the ballot box for decades for problems at the border. They sabotaged immigration reform efforts by Presidents Bush and Obama. And finally their scheme was played out in real time for all to see when they torpedoed a bipartisan border bill because Donald Trump didn’t want to give President Biden a win. This charade will continue until voters stop rewarding immigration demagoguery and vote for solutions.
The longer I’m alive the more the republican party resembles a bunch of babies in a play pen with dirty diapers. There are the ones like Gaetz who sits there and cries about no one listening to him. Marjorie Taylor- Greene and Laura Bobert sit together hitting other republican babies with any toy they can get their hands on and then braying like jackasses. Mike Johnson, sitting in the middle hits the other babies with a play tank and then denies he did anything, smiling all the while. This isn’t a political party anymore, it’s a chaotic, cacophonous, disorganized mess of little children who want to be “taken seriously” but can’t climb out of the playpen.
