I was struck by Bill Barr's testimony that Trump was 'detached from reality' if he believed the election conspiracies he was touting. Of course, this has been obvious to everyone outside the Trump cult for years. I find the hearings to be devastating to the election conspiracists, but I also wonder if they will do any good. Most people who believe the conspiracies have already proven themselves to be immune from reason and evidence.
I'm afraid that Thomas Paine was correct: "To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead."
The reason our economy is in poor shape is due to the Covid and the Covid variants Pandemic and Russia’s ruthless attack on the Ukrainian people. The supply chain disaster was due to Covid protections. None of this is on President Biden. Trump lied about how deadly Covid was and did nothing. President Biden can’t control Putin (no one can) and the supply chain is improving as are Covid cases and deaths-thanks to President Biden. Americans are selfish. Give me, give me and give me. Gas prices are high. Everything is more expensive but think of the Ukrainian people. They aren’t complaining about gas prices. They are fighting for their freedom and lives. We need to suck it up.
