Those on the extreme fringes of the Republican Party, who make jokes about a U.S. Representative being a terrorist to uproarious laughter, don't appear to be very fringe when the rest of the party refuses to condemn the comments. The Republican Party has come to occupy the fringes of American politics, which they hope more moderate Americans don't notice.
I only wish they could turn the tables so that Broebert could experience what it would be like to meet herself. That's the whole thing I'll never understand about racism and bigotry - what if it was you who was the other person and then had the misfortunate of running into the bigoted, racist you. How would you feel? Thanks Nick for all you do.
