It was a sad day for democracy when one of our major political parties punted on creating a policy platform and instead released a one-page resolution stating that the party “has and will continue to enthusiastically support the President’s America-first agenda.” When you have become a cult of personality, and you have no idea what that personality will say or do from day to day, apparently all you can do is preemptively endorse whatever cracked-out word salad that emanates from the President’s tiny Twitter fingers. Perhaps they can rectify their error at the 2024 RNC Convention; at Four Seasons Total Landscaping.
I am deeply disappointed with the thunderous silence of the Republican cult, the Republican cartel.
