Darline Graham—appointed to the United States Senate last month to fill the seat of her late brother, Lindsey, and now campaigning to keep it—has spent the past week demonstrating that the only qualification she possesses is a surname and a presidential endorsement.
I really like your cartoon. What is it that these dopey republicans think that a relative of a senator can understand the complexities of the recently vacated office of her dead brother? This woman is about as qualified for filling the office of her late brother as Captain Kangaroo. Come to think of it, the Captain served honorably in WW II so he would have been eminently more qualified than a ditzy housewife. It’s just more of trump’s bad decisions which his administration all makes. They can’t run the office they’re responsible for but they can fire the excellent editor of the “Stars and Stripes” magazine. They can’t get us out of a useless war but they can measure the testosterone level in young, healthy American men. We’re all just watching the clowns honk their red horns and squeeze themselves in a tiny red car in a circus where it’s all a random mess accomplishing absolutely nothing.
Darline is in good company. Being unqualified for the position you're attempting to fill is a definite plus. In fact, it's a pre-requisite! (Just ask Scott Bessent!)
At first I thought you were commenting on the horrible assault on our city to accommodate Trump's race car fantasy - then I saw her name...and then T behind her!!! Perfect! And how in the world did you get her feet to be pedaling so furiously??!! Brilliant!
Except that many of the other drivers are in the slow lane when it comes to actual governance, or more importantly, acting as the responsible legislative branch of the federal government.
The analogy is perfect and the art is as excellent as ever. Could you please have the race cars run over both of them?
😂😂. Nice!! 😂😂

I just learned this a couple of days ago lol now means lots of love
um, no. It means laugh out loud.
Depends on your generation. It means lots of love now, which I like better.
Here's hoping her bid for the Senate is equally as likely.
Excellent work. Thank you, Nick.
I expect her to win, dammit ..

It boggles the mind…again and again…maybe even nonstop !!! Thanks, Nick❣️
I am just going to quote Skepticat with a minor change in emphasis.
"Could you please have the race cars run over both of them!!!"
