A person who has been abused suffers from trauma .Trauma is a deeply distressing or disturbing experience that overwhelms an individual's ability to cope, leaving lasting negative effects on their mental, physical, and emotional well-being. It fundamentally shatters a person's sense of safety, often leaving them in a state of hypervigilance or emotional distress.
Since 2016 the fight or flight has been activated and people have been numb which is a coping mechanism . Trauma leaves a person emotionally drained. Having been conditioned to view emotional abuse as normal , the vicious attacks are seen as normal because someone that should be trustworthy is abusive one of the strongest emotions that keep people quiet is shame. We have nothing to be ashamed of. That damage caused by the trauma cannot heal but tools can be used to function as one
