When I lived in TX, one Sunday, I was really on the brink. I dropped my children off at church and took myself for a ride. The thought that if I drive into the concrete wall, it will be over. Within one second, the thought was gone, and I felt at peace. At the Wednesday night service, he told me they had prayed for me on Sunday. I just smiled and walked away. The following Sunday, I was sitting in my bible group, and I told them what I had felt the week before. One of the couples asked me what time it was. I gave him an estimate. He said they had been out of town the previous week, and at that time, I was planning to hit the wall. He leaned over to his wife and told her they needed to pray for me.
I have a very dark sense of humor; however, I do not play with God. I respect all the Gods of the world. I respect each person's right to live in peace without having to explain their faith.
God is not harsh; he does not make impossible demands of us, set us up to fail, nor can we earn our way into his grace. We are all loved just as we are. I do not believe in organized religion anymore . The strangest thing happened: my relationship with Pappa grew stronger.
We can only hope and trust. Unfortunately I don't trust Trump, so I will hope.
