When I settle on a subject, I often explore multiple ways to express my perspective. On Friday, after reading about Trump’s intention to take over the postal service, I felt compelled to illustrate my concerns about mail-in voting under such circumstances. It wouldn’t be difficult to delay mail delivery in blue counties, potentially causing ballots to arrive too late to be counted. At the very least, it would undermine trust in the electoral system—especially if a man who still refuses to accept his 2020 loss were in charge of delivering ballots. I certainly wouldn’t trust him to do the right thing if it meant risking defeat, particularly when he continues to casually float the idea of running for a third term (shudder).
