The top cartoon is one I drew on 9-11-2001. Like most of us, I was in a state of shock that day. It was difficult to pull myself together to draw anything. The second cartoon is the one I drew for the one-year anniversary. Do you remember where you were on 9-11-2001?
I was teaching middle school in my classroom when the building tvs were activated. It was shocking, horrifying and sad. Your renditions of 9-11-2001 and 9-11-2002 remind us of the sacrifices of those who lost their lives and who are still suffering the effects from that day.
My husband who was on duty at the fire station in a town in Oregon, called me just after the first plane hit. I ran and turned on the TV. Then sat and watched in horror as the rest of it played out. It's something neither one of us will forget.
