Love how tongue and cheek your blog was today. On the one hand, being in a war is serious; on the other, who can take seriously how it's actually being conducted?
One of my favorite spin options--"Iran Deal 'Largely Negotiated'"--just vague enough to keep you guessing.
Great cartoon and spot-on analysis! 250 years of work - with some stumbles - to become the most respected country in the world. And one ignorant a-hole and his equally ignorant appointees have turned the US into a joke in less than 18 months. Morons ARE Governing America. And the rest of the world is scratching its collective head and wondering why the American people are tolerating it.
I think they are also seeing evidence that many of us are not tolerating it. I was so moved that there were "No Kings" demonstrations outside of the US!
Today's cartoon cannot be any more relevant. I love how yesterday morning "a deal is largely negotiated." Two days ago it was "I will not be rushed into a deal." Then last night we heard that we had started bombing Iranian targets again, while insisting it was nothing to be concerned about, it was merely "defensive."
Who believes a word this irrational idiot says? I have tuned out on his daily Iran war/not a war waffling. He stepped in it, big time, and cannot figure out how to snow us, or the Middle East, anymore.

Trump's mind has left the building. He'd rather be talking about the ballroom and how he feels 20 years younger than his chronological age. He leaped in thinking it would be "as easy as Venezuela" (remind me, what's going on it Venezuela right now?), and - surprising no one but him - it wasn't. Bibi just wheedled him (or dared him) into doing it. Now he just wishes it would go away or solve itself, and perversely it is not cooperating.
We'll still be at war (but not) when they carry him out feet-first and hand JD the keys (God help us).
It's so hard to take anything Trump says seriously. Thank goodness you are paying attention and writing about it, Nick!
