Presidents don't have a great deal of influence over gasoline prices in the short term (unless you're president of Russia and you just invaded Ukraine). But if you're going to saddle President Biden with the blame for rising gas prices, you might be stuck with him getting the credit when they're coming down. Be careful what you wish for.

Thank you, Nick. I am EXTREMELY sick of trying to explain to otherwise sane people that Presidents do not set gas prices -- unless, as you said, they're Putin. It's kind of like explaining that inflation is global right now. . . . I do hate that glazed look they get, don't you?
