Thank you, Nick. I am EXTREMELY sick of trying to explain to otherwise sane people that Presidents do not set gas prices -- unless, as you said, they're Putin. It's kind of like explaining that inflation is global right now. . . . I do hate that glazed look they get, don't you?

You know, there are some people who just can't CONNECT THE DOTS between high fuel costs & price increases in everything else. Anyway, rising gas prices are a good reason to invest in R & D for battery - powered autos, as well as solar & wind power. But alternative power has an obstacle in the US, & they know who they are.

God, Daniel, don't you hate it that we still need Manchin? If we can just pick up 2-3 (I can hope, can't I?) Senate seats in Nov., we can let him vote "no" on any damn thing he pleases, and still pass a law time to time.

True, but Sinema, crazy broad or not, did vote yes on the climate package, so there's that. Here's to hoping for 4, but being happy with 3!
