Your cartoon sadly hits the mark!

The postal service is inefficient as it is. The Trump proposal sounds like a recipe for disaster.

You summed it up quite accurately: "It's a plan that manages to be, all at once, unworkable, unnecessary, and corrosive to both democracy and basic governance."

Perhaps, that's the whole point!

I disagree that the postal service is inefficient. But trump has tried to destroy our constitutionally guaranteed postal service every time he gets into office. Surely there are lawsuits that will prevent him from carrying out this malevolent attempt to screw them over once again.

Audrey, I think that is indeed the whole point!

Good grief! Does Trump understand how ANY government agency works??

I sure am looking forward to Mark Elias' lawyers nipping THIS illegal, unAmerican nonsense in the bud!

As someone who's relied on mail-in ballots since the Pandemic, and who has assisted a disabled parent who physically couldn't vote in person, I've been deeply concerned about the Trump Administration's unfounded mistrust of mail-in ballots for a long time. I hope this very speedily gets tested in court and struck down! This will disenfranchise so many people!

I wanna know what are they really up to while we're being distracted over some of the stupidest things I've ever heard in my life what are they really doing? For example while we were all focused on oh my God what a horrible president the felon is how could such in such happen and we were not paying attention but distracted the country has been slowly turning into a one party system where district maps have been withdrawn to favor one party

Lawd, I hope this doesn't give Rethuglicans any ideas! An expat most of the year, I vote early in person at the town office in my town in October and in the summer. I used to qualify as a resident living abroad, but as it's a government service, I'm leery of it now. However, from now on, I'll use one of the independent online services, which is a great relief.

Our postal service here in Denver is very good. Of course, that is all the more reason forTrumpy Lumpy to want to "fix it",
