A very good illustration of how trump never, ever has an original idea. The people pushing his campaign whisper crap in his half-gone ear and he presents it like it’s HIS idea (of course). Like planning to use the military for”domestic policing”. He’s learned the art of becoming a dictator from the best Jong, Putin, Stalin, Mao Zedong, Hitler etc. How stupid do Americans have to be to fail to realize that using the military forces in any country is what ALL dictators do to eliminate anyone who represents any threat to the person’s dictatorship? Trump is a boob. He’s a delusional, demented fool. It’s the quiet people behind him whispering to him as a figurehead that are the real threat to our democracy.

This is somewhat related, as another Kennedy--that firmly in-the-past dynasty--came to mind this evening, the last of the Chicago Convention. Wither Caroline? (I admit, I don't keep up ..) Was she of no use whatsoever? She sure didn't fit the profile of so many of the women on stage.

One other thing, opining as a vexillologist: You notice that both party conventions and [italicized] the Olympics are hosted by the proud cities [italicized] which netted them. And yet, we never see their flags. At the Paris games' conclusion and transfer of the O flag to LA, the flags of both cities were nowhere seen. Bah! Oh, .. Chicago's is a terrific design, and loved by its folks. Minnesota's new flag was subtly represented in the event hall logo and the suits of numerous male speakers: light and dark blue.
