It is so disillusioning to think that Todd Blanche is willing and eager to disregard the rule of law, trample on the Constitution and, essentially, take on the role of Roy Cohn, answering to any of Trump's whims.
Once upon a time, there were three branches of government in America, designed to ensure a separation of powers and maintain a system of checks and balances:
**Legislative Branch:** This branch makes the laws and consists of Congress, which includes the Senate and the House of Representatives. It is responsible for declaring war, controlling taxation and spending policies, and approving presidential appointments.
**Executive Branch:** This branch carries out and enforces the laws. Headed by the President, it includes the Vice President, the Cabinet, and various federal agencies. The Executive Branch directs the armed forces and oversees foreign policy.
**Judicial Branch:** This branch evaluates and interprets the laws. It consists of the Supreme Court and other federal courts, ensuring that all laws and actions align with the U.S. Constitution.
Todd Blanche, the Republican Party entire, and the Trump regime are corrupt from start to finish. That includes Mitch McConnel who at one time in recent memory described himself as "the king of obstruction." This whole sordid mess is a daily litany of graft, corruption, cruelty, and total disregard for the law of the land. What law, what democracy? Who cares about We the People?
Not only is the cartoon brilliant, but the essay helped me understand more fully just what the real issue is. Thank you! Off to X...
The U.S. Attorney General is supposed to be for the people, not the president. He Should Not Be Confirmed.

Just sickening.
I fully expect the nomination to go through.
A perfect example of someone who sold out for his own gain.
No love of country here.
Talking about making a deal with the devil. Who is the devil? Need you ask?
“But Blanche didn’t stop at being Trump’s lawyer. He became Trump’s enabler.”
And yet he will be confirmed. The republicans will argue that Trump could choose someone worse. The bar hadn’t just been lowered. It’s been buried.
Thank you for your wonderful work, Nick.
The acceptance of Todd Blanche by the GOP senate will be the ultimate low point for trump 2.0
and the republicans. Hang your heads in disgrace you feckless traitors. SHAME!!!!
Great illustration of another loyal Trump puppet. Hopefully the Senate will do its U.S. duty and not confirm Blanche.
I think I'll send this cartoon to my Senators. Maybe that'll make my point crystal clear.

Currently, we find ourselves out of balance.
